UK-Based (Remote), International Remit, £60,000

A leading global organisation is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join its Technology Services team. This is a confidential hire for a pivotal role supporting mission-critical systems and infrastructure transformation across a diverse enterprise environment.

You'll join a dynamic team focused on driving secure, scalable and cost-optimised datacentre and cloud infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Azure and virtualised platforms.

About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll work at the forefront of technology-designing, deploying, managing, and optimising hybrid infrastructure environments. You'll contribute to strategic digital transformation projects and serve as a 3rd line escalation point for high-level technical issues.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with flexible/agile working arrangements depending on experience and workload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, manage, and optimise Microsoft Azure resources with a strong focus on availability, security, and cost-efficiency.

  • Use Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) to automate and standardise infrastructure deployment.

  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex issues across datacentre, cloud, and office environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application deployment and system integration.

  • Lead the transition from on-premises monitoring/logging tools to cloud-based solutions.

Key Experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in enterprise-level datacentre and cloud infrastructure roles.

  • Strong background in Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS), virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware), and infrastructure security.

  • Solid understanding of traditional on-prem datacentres.

Personal Traits
  • Self-driven, adaptable and solutions-focused.

  • Calm under pressure with excellent troubleshooting instincts.

  • Passionate about learning, growing, and staying current in a fast-evolving tech landscape.

Note: Only shortlisted candidates will receive full company and project details. Applicants must be UK-based and eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
