This is a fast-paced team that is now expanding to continue to deliver a larger programme of sustainable and innovative solutions. A brand-new position has been created to join our Environment & Innovation team as a Catchment Specialist Water Quality Wastewater Interactions. Job Overview As a Catchment Management Specialist within our Catchment Strategy Team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering strategies, projects and actions that influence our 5 50 year strategic plans. Your work will focus on catchment-scale enhancements to water and environmental quality, with a particular emphasis on the interaction between water quality -for drinking water- and wastewater systems, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and Catchment Partnerships. 
- Technical Management - support technical delivery and reporting to meet regulatory requirements. Provide evaluations and recommendations on environmental measures to mitigate predicted challenges.
- Technical Expertise - act as a subject matter expert on catchment management, water quality, and environmental policy. Scope and evaluate projects for delivery via specialist frameworks.
- Collaboration - work cross-functionally to identify synergies and efficiencies across projects and plans such as the Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans
- Engagement - build relationships with regulators , water companies, industry groups, and Catchment Partnerships.
- Proven experience in environmental and water quality investigations and catchment management planning/delivery.
- Strong technical report writing and review skills.
- Knowledge of water sector operations and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects to high standards and deadlines.
- Experience with water quality monitoring, data analysis, GIS mapping, and dashboard reporting.
- Experience managing consultancy teams and technical work delivery.
- Degree (and ideally a Master s) in Environmental Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of water quality investigations, catchment risk assessments, and translating regulatory requirements into actionable plans.
