Assistant Manager Role

Under the leadership of the Restaurant General Manager, you will manage daily restaurant operations and staff for a Wendy's restaurant, focusing on staffing, training, scheduling, and ensuring a high quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily restaurant operations and staff.
  • Lead staffing, training, and scheduling to build and retain a 5 star team.
  • Identify talent and provide coaching and development.
  • Use effective scheduling to ensure optimal staffing.
  • Serve as the front of house presence for new hires and crew members.
  • Contribute to increasing store sales and profit goals.
  • Support the General Manager in front of house and back of house operations.
  • Assist with local marketing to drive sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Build a passionate, engaged team to support future site openings.
  • Oversee supervisors, shift leaders, and team members.
  • Coordinate training and identify training needs.
  • Maintain audit compliance, including health and safety, food audits, stock takes, EHO and financial audits.
  • Drive the team towards business objectives and support cost control without compromising standards.
  • Participate in back of house activities during peak times.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and comply with legislative and company hygiene requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience leading people, preferably in a food service environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of line operations experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work 44 hour weeks, all days of the week, and all hours.
