Our client is a highly successful and national asbestos consultancy, providing a wide range of professional asbestos and environmental services to a mixed portfolio of clients, including Blue Chip clients. We are looking for a high calibre, enthusiastic, self driven and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager based in and around Greater Manchester. Ideally the candidate will have extensive experience managing a team of bid writers and working on PQQs, ITTs and tender returns. Applications will be considered from Warrington, Preston, Trafford, Salford, Stockport, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Requisites
  • Good educational background.
  • Significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, project and risk management.
  • Good knowledge of commercial and other sectors.
  • Excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.
Purpose of the Role

Prepare and win bids, taking responsibility for the end to end bid process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the bids team carries out work effectively.
  • Get involved with PQQs and tender opportunities, evaluating and completing on time scales.
  • Manage bid qualification process effectively.
  • Coordinate bid inputs from stakeholders - sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal, etc.
  • Work with Sales and Managing Directors to ensure technical and commercial aspects of tenders are completed within timelines.
  • Complete written proposals and prepare management summaries.
  • Deliver compliant and commercially sound bids, understanding and resolving various business issues.
  • Arrange post bid reviews and feedback with clients/customers.
  • Drive continual improvement of tender documentation.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with the Marketing Manager and the company's prestigious client portfolio.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping all information consistent and up to date.
