Description
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry into accounting systems.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor budgets and provide insights on variances or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and audits.
- Support the finance team with reconciliations and cost analyses.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to other departments as required.
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance function assisting with reconciliations, journals and balance sheet reviews
- Preparing and analysing financial data and reports
- Supporting budget setting and annual charge reviews
- Working with large data sets using Excel
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
- Supporting compliance and audit requirements
- Liaising with wider operational and finance teams across the business
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
Profile
A successful Accountant should have:
- Happy to consider PQ and QBE candidates.
- Experience working in the Housing sector.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial systems.
- The ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in preparing financial reports and handling budgets.
