JOB TITLE: Academy Scout

REPORTING LINE: Head of Academy Recruitment

ROLE:

The role of the Academy Scout (Volunteer) is to provide player insights within the grassroots game (U7 U16) that possess the potential building blocks for future potential.

TASKS:

• Attend and assess individual players within grassroots football in line with the Academy Player Recruitment framework.
• Submit reports via Academy reporting system.
• Communicate player tips to Lead Academy Scout.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Academy Scout (Lead) with insights on grassroots players in line with recruitment framework.
• Provide insights within allocated zone.
• Adhere to governing body scouting protocols.
• To ensure all fixtures and players viewed are reported and documented as required by the club.
• To effectively increase the number of players viewed in the recruitment area.
• To attend CPD, talent ID days and trial matches to enable prospective players to be observed, at the request of the Head of Academy Recruitment.
• To adhere to the scouting protocol in the recruitment of all players to ensure the good name of the club is promoted.
• To continually seek to improve the standard of player within the Academy in all age groups.
• To undertake any reasonable club requirements as set out by the Senior Management Team.
• To ensure safeguarding measures are implemented and adhered to.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• FA Level 1 Talent ID

• FA Child Safeguarding
• Full Enhanced DBS
