Job Description

About our Client : Industria Personnel Services LTD is recruiting for a world-class supply chain specialist with the expertise, advanced systems and global infrastructure required to match the exacting demands of the aerospace and defence industry

Position: Material Controller

Salary: £12.85

Hours:

06:30 to 15:00 Monday - Thursday

06:30 to 11:30 Friday

Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Start Date: Immediate

Location: BH23 6EW

Own transport preferred due to the location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Delivery and Revenue

- Through short range outlook, be responsible for expediting in house and escalating purchased parts to achieve on time WIP release.

- Execution of work order reschedules ensuring the allocation of parts to repairs meets the customer delivery requirements.

- Responsible for administering 'Shopfloor' production plans. Identifying root cause failure modes for future improvements.

- In conjunction with Team leader, provide and report on TAT (Turn Around Time) and Past Due delivery forecasts.

- Support factory forums and customer delivery required information.

Part Marshalling

- Responsible for receiving and issuing of repair units through the parts supply process. Including locating the repairs, setting the kitting list and ad-hoc kitting demands daily.

- Loading, scheduling and progressing the in-house rework items to ensure timely completion and priorities across the site.

- Administering SAP data support requirements, i.e. location, status and scheduling date changes.

About You

  • Proficient PC user with skills in MS Office applications. Specifically Excel.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills essential.
  • Knowledge of planning systems is preferable.
  • Understanding of supplier and internal/external customer requirements and ability to drive into operational delivery.
  • Experience with teams/self directed work teams in a Repair and Overhaul/Manufacturing environment.
  • MRP systems knowledge is preferable and SAP

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 months of experience of working in a fast-paced environment and in a similar position is essential
